Counseling for Pastors and Families

Serving in vocational Christian ministry is very rewarding but can also be very stressful and difficult.  Pastors often do not feel comfortable discussing their personal struggles with members of their staff or congregation.

Head to Heart Restoration Ministry is committed to walking with pastors and their families during times of stress and difficulty in a safe and confidential environment. One of the central goals in working with pastors is to proactively help them deal with pressure points before they become critical, which can have devastating results such as burn-out, divorce, moral failure or leaving the ministry.

Pastor Jack Hammans of Head to Heart Restoration has had extensive personal experience mentoring pastors individually and in small groups, helping guide them in their personal walk with God, establishing a healthy balance in their life and ministry priorities.

Christian Spiritual Direction and Life Coaching

While counseling  is mainly backward looking, focusing on hurts, wounds, and life issues of the past, Christian spiritual direction and life coaching is forward looking: helping clients set goals, and get “unstuck” from confusion and lack of purpose. Individuals work with Dr. Jones, Pastor Hammans, or Pastor Coker to develop plans, strategies, and goals to help move forward toward their God-ordained potential and destiny.

Counseling Sessions

Counseling sessions are 50 minutes in duration and generally are held one time per week. Other scheduling arrangements can be made by request. Special Presentations

In addition to individual, couples and family counseling, Dr. Jones, Pastor Hammans, and Pastor Coker are also available for guest speaker presentations for churches, organizations, classes and retreats.
